Study groups for adults are one of the hallmarks of our congregation. Rabbi Marx teaches nine different classes a week, in addition to parent discussions on Sunday mornings and various evening lectures during the year. Congregants can discuss various books of the Bible, learn about Jewish history and thought, examine modern ethical issues, explore the theology of the prayer book and learn Hebrew at different levels.
Rabbi Marx also teaches “The Bible as Literature”, a weekly class for Santa Monica Emeritus College, held at our synagogue. The Rabbi is a gifted teacher, and congregants find their Jewish knowledge increased, while forming strong attachments to their fellow students.
