Lisa Pearl Rosenbaum , Temple President
Lisa Pearl Rosenbaum has been a member of the Santa Monica Synagogue for over a decade. She has chaired the Ritual Committee, the Religious School Council and is a member of the Board of Trustees and the Executive Board. She is also a long-time member of one of the women’s Torah study groups with the Rabbi.
Rosenbaum, a New York native, graduated from New York University with a degree in Religion. Following post-graduate work in International Relations at the Hebrew University, she worked at the Israeli Consulate in Los Angeles and later, practiced law. Her debut novel, A Day of Small Beginnings, which explores a Jewish family’s complex relationship with its spiritual roots and with Poland, could not have been written without the Santa Monica Synagogue’s education and support.
She lives in Pacific Palisades with her husband, Walter Lipsman, and with their daughters Ariana and Maya.
