Classes for families with older children make it easier for parents and children to broach difficult topics, such as illness, death, and homelessness. Classes for families with younger children cover useful, age-appropriate topics, such as nighttime rituals, Shabbat, mitzvot, and the Jewish calendar.
Our family programming provides an opportunity for parents to enjoy intellectual stimulation, enhance their Jewish life, socialize with other parents, and connect with their children on a profound level. Our family study sessions also provide children with the invaluable experience of seeing their parents as life-long learners and committed Jews.
We offer a unique educational opportunity for the families of K through 6th grade students. Once a year, parents and students join together with Rabbi Marx to explore a variety of interesting and valuable topics. Divided by grade level, these family sessions provide parallel programming on the same topic for parents and their children, as well as a chance to discuss thoughts and ideas together as a family at the end of the session.
